See Our Work

  • LikE supports children’s education through two connected kinds of work:
Projects that meet practical school and classroom needs.
  • Programs and interventions that support reading, attendance, confidence, and student growth.
  • Together, these efforts help children experience school with more dignity, joy, and possibility.

Education is a lifeline

LikE began with a simple act of care: books and school supplies for young children in one public school in Winneba.
Since then, the work has grown, but the heart has remained the same. LikE continues to show up for children through mobile-library activities, reading clinics, school supplies, classroom resources, student encouragement, and practical support that helps remove everyday barriers to learning.
When children have books to read, supplies to use, teachers who feel supported, and caring adults who keep showing up, their future begins to open.

WHAT WE DO

LikE’s work meets children where they are:

in classrooms, in reading circles, in moments of need, and in moments of celebration.

Mobile Library and Reading Clinics
Mobile Library and Reading Clinics

LikE brings books, guided reading support, and encouragement directly to children in our partner schools. Through stories, reading practice, and caring support, children grow in confidence and discover the joy of learning.

School and Classroom Support
School and Classroom Support
A pencil, a notebook, a desk, a chair, or a whiteboard can change the way a child experiences school. LikE provides practical supplies and classroom resources that help students learn and help teachers teach.
Student Encouragement and Care
Student Encouragement and Care
Children need more than materials. They need to feel seen. LikE celebrates student effort, supports attendance, responds to special requests, and helps meet basic needs that can affect a child’s ability to stay engaged in school.

A beginning rooted in care

LikE began through the vision of Stella Dadson, a former elementary school teacher and principal with several decades of experience helping children learn and grow.

What started as books and school supplies for three kindergarten classes has grown into a broader education-support effort shaped by Stella’s lifelong commitment to children, reading, teachers, and school success.

Over the years, the work has carried different names, including the Mobile Library Project, School Readiness and Mobile Library Project, Winneba School Readiness and Mobile Library Project, and Stella Dadson Foundation. Today, the work continues as Lifeline for Kids Education International (LikE).

The heart remains the same, but the work has grown in scope: helping children in Winneba read, learn, and thrive with the support they need.

Help us keep showing up

Every gift helps put something useful, joyful, and needed into a child’s school day.

Your support can help provide books, school supplies, classroom furniture, reading-clinic materials, student awards, uniforms, hygiene products, lunch support, and tablets for reading activities.

A gift to LikE is not just a donation. It is a way of telling a child: your learning matters, your effort matters, and your future matters.

Unlocking Futures, One Child at a Time.

  •  A book can spark imagination.
  • A reading clinic can build confidence.
  • A desk can make school feel more welcoming.
  • A uniform can help a child walk into class with dignity.
  • A simple gift can remind a child they are not forgotten.

Together, we can help more children in Winneba read, learn, and unlock their futures.
